VFF appoints two full-time translators for coach Kim Sang-sik

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has arranged for two full-time translators to assist Head Coach Kim Sang-sik. Among them is Do Van Anh, who previously worked as a translator for Van Toan at Seoul E-Land FC in the K-League 2.

VFF recently signed a contract with HLV Kim Sang-sik, assigning him the responsibility of leading both the Vietnam national team and the U23 team. This requires a large team of assistants, projected to include up to 12 individuals, nine of whom are Vietnamese.

To facilitate effective communication, VFF has appointed three Vietnamese coaches: Luu Danh Minh, Ngo Viet Trung, and Le Duc Tuan. Additionally, two full-time translators have been assigned to support HLV Kim Sang-sik. One of these translators, Do Van Anh, has a history of working with Van Toan at Seoul E-Land FC.

Do Van Anh will be responsible for translating between Vietnamese and Korean, enabling HLV Kim Sang-sik to communicate effectively with his Vietnamese assistants and players. Van Anh returned to Vietnam on the afternoon of May 16 and is ready to start his duties promptly.

Do Van Anh and Van Toan are with Seoul E-Land FC in K-League 2 (South Korea).

Unlike during HLV Park Hang-seo’s tenure, both translators for HLV Kim Sang-sik have signed long-term contracts. This ensures they will be working full-time to provide continuous support to the head coach of both the national and U23 teams.

The decision to appoint two full-time translators highlights VFF’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to HLV Kim Sang-sik, ensuring that language barriers do not impede the training and development of the teams. This move is expected to enhance the effectiveness of coaching sessions and improve overall team performance.

In addition to the translators, the extensive team of assistants will include specialists in various areas such as fitness, strategy, and player development. This support structure is designed to help HLV Kim Sang-sik implement his vision and strategies effectively, fostering a professional and cohesive environment for the players.

With these arrangements in place, the Vietnam national team and the U23 team are expected to benefit significantly from improved communication and coordination, paving the way for better performances in upcoming international competitions. The presence of experienced translators and a robust support team will play a crucial role in achieving the goals set by VFF and HLV Kim Sang-sik.
