China, 20 September, 2025 – At the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers, the Vietnam futsal team is placed in Group E alongside Hong Kong , China, and Lebanon. Training and playing against strong opponents during their recent preparation period will serve as a springboard to boost Vietnam’s confidence heading into the tournament. The combination of experienced players and a growing young generation will be the foundation for coach Diego Giustozzi and his squad to aim at achieving their goals in Group E.
According to the schedule, Vietnam will face Hong Kong on September 20, China on September 22, and Lebanon on September 24. All matches will take place at Linping Sport Center Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China.
Ahead of the tournament, coach Diego Giustozzi shared: “We had three weeks of training in Vietnam, followed by 10 days of training camps in Kuwait and China. I believe the team is well-prepared for this mission. The group is challenging. Opinions may differ about the level of the teams, but I think all three opponents are quality sides. The coaching staff always works to prepare players with a strong mentality. I trust my players, and as long as they play with confidence and stay true to themselves, we will have nothing to fear.”
