Hanoi, 26 May 2026 – Vietnam Football Federation has expanded its Sports Medicine Network with the addition of Phenikaa University Hospital as an official member.
On May 26, the VFF announced that Phenikaa University Hospital had successfully joined the VFF Medical Committee Network Membership program after completing a strict professional evaluation process.
The expansion of the sports medicine network is part of the federation’s long-term strategy to build a comprehensive healthcare support system for Vietnamese football. The initiative aims to improve medical treatment, injury recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term healthcare services for football players across the country.
Phenikaa University Hospital met all required professional standards thanks to its strong expertise in orthopedic trauma surgery, cardiology, respiratory medicine, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and sports medicine.
Representing the hospital within the network are highly trained specialists and experienced medical staff, including Professor Cao Minh Chau, a leading expert in rehabilitation medicine, and Dr. Nguyen Ba Son, Deputy Head of the General Surgery Department and a specialist in orthopedic trauma and sports medicine.
According to Dr. Nguyen Ba Son, the partnership focuses not only on treating injuries but also on building a modern and comprehensive healthcare system for Vietnamese footballers. The program will emphasize injury prevention, long-term health monitoring, rehabilitation, sports nutrition, and the professional development of football medicine in Vietnam.
With expertise ranging from arthroscopic surgery to sports rehabilitation, Phenikaa University Hospital’s medical team will work closely with the VFF to create personalized recovery programs for players. The goal is to maximize physical recovery, restore athletic performance, and help players safely return to training and competition as quickly as possible.
The VFF also confirmed that the Sports Medicine Network will continue expanding in the future as part of efforts to establish a synchronized and modern healthcare system for Vietnamese football. Cooperation with reputable medical institutions such as Phenikaa University Hospital is expected to improve medical standards, strengthen player healthcare, and provide an important foundation for the long-term development of Vietnamese football.
