Dinh Bac extends Cong An Ha Noi stay until 2029

Hanoi, 28 June 2026 – Cong An Ha Noi FC have officially announced that young striker Nguyen Dinh Bac has signed a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2029, ending recent speculation linking him with a move to Japan’s J1 League.

The new agreement represents a significant statement of intent from the club as it moves to secure one of Vietnam’s brightest young talents for the long term. Although Dinh Bac was already under contract, Cong An Ha Noi opted to offer him an improved deal amid growing interest from Japanese side Vissel Kobe, which had reportedly been monitoring the 21-year-old in recent months.

While the financial details of the contract have not been disclosed, local reports suggest the extension places Dinh Bac among the highest-paid young footballers in Vietnam. The club’s decision to hand him a long-term deal reflects its confidence in the striker’s development and its ambition to build a competitive squad capable of challenging both domestically and in continental competitions.

Dinh Bac’s market value recently rose to €400,000 on Transfermarkt following an impressive run of performances for both club and country. His new contract also puts an end, for now, to speculation surrounding a potential move abroad, despite reports that several Japanese clubs had shown serious interest in signing the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Top Scorer.

Speaking after signing the extension, the 2004-born forward expressed his delight at continuing his journey with Cong An Ha Noi FC. He said his immediate focus is to help the club achieve success in domestic and continental competitions while continuing to give his best whenever he represents the Vietnam national team.

Shortly after the announcement, Dinh Bac also shared an emotional message on social media, thanking Quang Nam FC—the club that developed him during his formative years—for laying the foundation for his professional career.

Having scored 10 goals in his last six matches, Dinh Bac enters the new season in outstanding form. His contract extension provides a major boost for CAHN as the club prepares for the AFC Champions League Elite play-off this August while reinforcing its commitment to retaining the country’s top young talent.
