Hanoi, 5 July 2026 – The LION Championship organizing committee has officially announced disappointing news: fighter Dan Vinni has suffered an injury during preparation and has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming bout at LC33.
According to the original plan, Dan Vinni, representing The Champ MMA, was scheduled to face Zack Bennet of Soma Fight Club in a highly anticipated showdown. The bout was considered one of the spotlight matchups in the 77kg Pro MMA division, attracting strong attention from the martial arts community thanks to both fighters’ aggressive and entertaining styles. However, a late injury has prevented the foreign fighter from stepping into the cage.
Dan Vinni’s withdrawal leaves a major gap in the LC33 77kg lineup. At this stage, the LION Championship organizing committee has not yet confirmed whether Zack Bennet will face a late replacement or whether the bout will be cancelled and rescheduled for a future event.
For Zack Bennet and the Soma Fight Club coaching staff, this is undoubtedly frustrating news, as their tactical preparation and weight-cut process had already entered the final stage. Further updates regarding a possible replacement opponent and the official LC33 fight card are expected to be announced in the coming days.
