Hung Yen, 15 July 2026 – The second round of Group C at the 2026 Vietnam U21 National Championship delivered plenty of excitement on July 15 at the PVF Training Centre. Hanoi Police FC U21 (CAHN) secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Dong Nai U21, while hosts PVF U21 snatched a dramatic 1-1 draw against Da Nang U21 with a stoppage-time equaliser.
Following the opening round, Da Nang had defeated CAHN 2-1, while PVF cruised to a convincing 4-0 win over Dong Nai. As a result, CAHN entered the match knowing that anything less than three points would leave them facing the prospect of an early exit.
The police side dominated possession from the outset and consistently threatened the Dong Nai goal. Their persistence finally paid off in the 42nd minute when Hien Luong delivered a perfectly weighted pass for Khai Binh, who tapped home from close range to give CAHN a deserved lead.
Deep into first-half stoppage time, Hien Luong was involved again. This time, he met a low cross from the left flank and calmly finished from inside the six-yard box to double CAHN’s advantage before the break.
CAHN maintained complete control after halftime and extended their lead in the 55th minute. Midfielder Hoai Nam rose highest to head home from a well-worked move down the wing, making it 3-0.

With a comfortable cushion, CAHN eased off the intensity and were punished eight minutes later. Phi Hung provided the assist, allowing Tuan Khang to capitalize on a scramble inside the penalty area and pull one back for Dong Nai, reducing the deficit to 3-1.
In the other Group C fixture, Da Nang made a confident start and broke the deadlock in the 25th minute. Vi Nhat timed his run into the penalty area perfectly before finishing past the PVF goalkeeper to hand the visitors a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
PVF responded strongly after the interval and created numerous chances, but Da Nang goalkeeper Viet Lam produced a series of impressive saves to keep his side in front. One of the best opportunities came in the 67th minute when Hoang Khanh powered in a dangerous header, only to be denied by another excellent stop.
Just as Da Nang looked set to claim all three points, PVF struck in dramatic fashion during the final moments of stoppage time. In the 90+5th minute, Hoang Khanh rose to meet Van Bach’s cross from the right and headed home the equaliser, rescuing a valuable point for the hosts.
After two rounds of matches, PVF sit atop Group C with four points. Da Nang are level on points but trail on goal difference. CAHN move up to third place with three points, while Dong Nai remain pointless at the bottom of the table and face the real possibility of an early elimination.
