Hanoi, 16 July 2026 – According to the latest V.League 1 transfer updates for the 2026/27 season, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC have officially completed the signing of midfielder Phan Van Duc from Cong An Ha Noi FC. The 1996-born playmaker becomes the club’s fourth addition during the 2026 summer transfer window.
Before joining Ho Chi Minh City Police FC, Phan Van Duc spent several seasons with Cong An Ha Noi FC after making his name at Song Lam Nghe An, where he established himself as one of Vietnam’s most talented attacking midfielders. During the 2025/26 campaign, the Nghe An native made 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
Despite his respectable number of appearances, Phan Van Duc often found himself playing a supporting role due to fierce competition for places in Hanoi Police FC’s star-studded attacking lineup. Seeking more regular first-team football, the 30-year-old opted for a fresh challenge ahead of the new season.
The move to Ho Chi Minh City Police FC is expected to offer Phan Van Duc a greater opportunity to secure a starting role. If he can stay fit and earn the trust of the coaching staff, the former Vietnam international has every chance of rediscovering the form that made him one of the country’s standout attacking midfielders during his successful spell with Song Lam Nghe An and the Vietnam national team.
