Hanoi, 5 August 2026 – Excitement surrounding Vietnam’s final Group A match against Cambodia at the ASEAN Cup 2026 continued to build on August 5, as thousands of supporters gathered outside the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) headquarters to purchase tickets through the official direct-sale channel.
Long queues formed early along Le Quang Dao Street, with fans patiently waiting for hours in hopes of securing seats for the highly anticipated match at My Dinh National Stadium. Some supporters even brought portable chairs and refreshments, prepared for a lengthy wait as demand continued to grow throughout the day.
While the ticket-buying process remained largely orderly, ticket scalpers were also spotted operating openly near the venue. Several individuals were seen offering tickets for resale at prices above face value to supporters unable to obtain them through the official queue.
The VFF had previously conducted online ticket sales between July 20 and July 29. The decision to introduce direct ticket sales was intended to give more fans an opportunity to attend one of Vietnam’s most important group-stage fixtures.
Tickets for the Vietnam-Cambodia clash are available in four price categories: VND 200,000, VND 300,000, VND 400,000, and VND 500,000. To maintain safety and order, organizers implemented crowd-control measures by allowing supporters to enter the ticketing area in small groups throughout the sales process.
Ticket sales were scheduled across morning and afternoon sessions on designated days, while sales on matchday are set to continue into the evening if tickets remain available. However, organizers noted that tickets could sell out before the announced closing times due to strong demand.
Also on the afternoon of August 5, the VFF, in collaboration with An Media, hosted the “Standing with Vietnam National Team” program at the federation headquarters and the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre.
The event aimed to strengthen the connection between the national team, supporters, media representatives, and key opinion leaders (KOLs), while creating a positive atmosphere ahead of Vietnam’s crucial encounter with Cambodia.
Among those attending were VFF Vice President Nguyen Xuan Vu, representatives from An Media, members of the media, and invited guests who have closely followed and supported the national team. During the event, the VFF presented appreciation gifts to guests in recognition of their continued support for Vietnamese football.
Beyond expressing gratitude to long-time supporters, the gathering helped generate additional excitement in the build-up to the match. The program concluded with commemorative photographs, capturing memorable moments as Vietnam continued its preparations for the decisive Group A showdown.
