Bac Ninh, 11 August 2026 – Bac Ninh FC have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 V.League 1 season, officially announcing the signings of goalkeepers Nguyen Van Cong and Duong Tung Lam.
The arrival of the two shot-stoppers provides Bac Ninh FC with greater depth and competition between the posts as the club prepares for the challenges of the new campaign.
Born in 1992, Nguyen Van Cong brings considerable top-flight experience to the squad. The veteran goalkeeper developed through Hanoi FC’s system and spent a significant part of his career with the capital club, establishing himself as a reliable presence in goal.
After earning recognition and several individual honors during his youth career, Van Cong successfully made the step up to senior football and built a reputation through years of competition in V.League 1.
His performances also earned him opportunities at international level, with Van Cong previously receiving call-ups to both the Vietnam U23 and Olympic Vietnam squads.
During the 2025/26 season, the experienced goalkeeper represented Ho Chi Minh City FC, where he continued to deliver consistent performances before completing his move to Bac Ninh.
Meanwhile, Duong Tung Lam offers a younger option with significant potential. Born in 1999, Tung Lam also came through the Hanoi FC youth academy and enjoyed considerable success in national youth competitions during the early stages of his career.
One of his most notable achievements came in 2019, when he helped his team capture the International U21 Championship and was named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper, highlighting his potential between the posts.
Before joining Bac Ninh FC, Tung Lam played for Ha Tinh during the 2025/26 campaign, gaining further valuable senior-level experience.
By bringing together Van Cong’s experience and Tung Lam’s potential, Bac Ninh FC have added both quality and competition to their goalkeeping department. The two signings represent another important step in the club’s squad-building plans ahead of the 2026/27 V.League 1 season.
