Hanoi Police FC sign Australian star to boost ambitions for 2025-26 season

Hanoi, 4 August, 2025 – Hanoi Police FC have made a major statement ahead of the 2025-26 season by signing Australian midfielder Stefan Mauk. The club announced the high-profile acquisition on their official channels, describing Mauk as “a warrior with experience, personality, and creativity in midfield.” The signing underscores their intent to strengthen the squad as they prepare for an intense campaign across four competitions.

This move is not just about adding depth to the team that won the V.League title in 2023. It highlights Hanoi Police FC’s ambition to elevate their status, aiming for success not only domestically but also on the regional and continental stages.

According to the reputable site Transfermarkt, Stefan Mauk is currently valued at €650,000 (approximately 19.7 billion VND). This valuation places him among the highest-valued players in V.League, on par with Vietnamese star Nguyen Xuan Son. Such a high price tag is rare for players joining the league, emphasizing the magnitude of this signing.

Born in 1995, Mauk boasts an impressive resume, having played in Europe and Japan, but his greatest success came in his homeland with Adelaide United. He made 107 appearances and scored 26 goals for the club, playing a pivotal role in their 2015-16 A-League championship-winning campaign.

Bringing in a player with international experience and a proven track record sends a strong message. Hanoi Police FC are not only reinforcing their lineup but also signaling their determination to compete at the highest level in regional tournaments. After their domestic triumph in 2023, the club is clearly setting its sights on making an impact beyond Vietnam’s borders.
