Hanoi, 5 November 2025 – A frightening incident occurred during a Vietnam National Third Division match when a player wearing jersey number 13 suddenly collapsed on the field. Thanks to the quick response of referees, teammates, and the medical staff, the player was stabilized and promptly taken to a nearby hospital for further care.

A serious medical emergency took place during a Vietnam National Third Division fixture, causing the match to be temporarily halted for around six minutes. The player, who wore the number 13, collapsed unexpectedly in the middle of the game, leaving both teammates and opponents in shock.

The on-field medical team reacted immediately, rushing in to perform emergency first aid before transferring the player to the nearest hospital. Their timely intervention helped the player regain consciousness and pass the most critical stage. He is now under close observation at the medical facility.

According to eyewitnesses, the situation unfolded very quickly, catching players and officials off guard. The referee promptly stopped the game, allowing the medical crew to access the pitch without delay. Fellow players from both teams also helped alert the staff and assisted in moving the player safely off the field.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the crucial importance of medical preparedness in youth and lower-division competitions, where player fitness and health monitoring are often overlooked. With dense match schedules and limited recovery time, players at this level face higher physical demands, underscoring the need for robust safety protocols and medical readiness at every venue.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is expected to review medical preparedness standards for lower-tier tournaments to ensure similar incidents can be managed swiftly and safely in the future.
