Phong Phu Ha Nam crowned champions of the 2026 national U19 women’s Acecook Cup

Ninh Binh, 7 February 2026 – Hanoi U19 women’s team caused a major surprise by defeating Ho Chi Minh City U19 Women in the final round of the Vietnam U19 Women’s National Championship.

In the last group-stage match of the tournament, Ho Chi Minh City U19 Women were determined to secure another victory against Hanoi. Their ambition was quickly rewarded when Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh opened the scoring in the 26th minute. For the remainder of the first half, the Ho Chi Minh City side defended solidly and limited Hanoi’s chances, heading into the break with a 1–0 advantage.

After halftime, Hanoi pushed forward aggressively in search of at least an equalizer. Their efforts paid off in the 63rd minute when Nguyen Thi Thuong finished accurately to level the score at 1–1. The match then became increasingly tense, with both teams trading attacks and producing a series of exciting moments. Drama struck deep into stoppage time, as An Hoang Cuc scored in the 90+3rd minute to seal a stunning 2–1 victory for Hanoi.

In the other match of Round 10, Thai Nguyen T&T were under pressure to defeat Than Khoang San Viet Nam (Than KSVN) to avoid losing the bronze medal position to Hanoi. However, the team from the tea-growing region struggled in the first half and failed to break through their opponents’ defense.

The situation changed after the break as Thai Nguyen T&T stepped up the attacking tempo, leaving Than KSVN unable to cope. Tran Thi Huong opened the scoring with a fine finish, before Do Thi Thuy Nga struck twice to complete a convincing 3–0 win.

As a result, Phong Phu Ha Nam were crowned champions, Ho Chi Minh City U19 Women finished as runners-up, Thai Nguyen T&T claimed third place, Hanoi U19 Women placed fourth, and Than Khoang San Viet Nam ended the tournament in fifth position.
