Hoang Hen hits the ground running with the Golden Star Warriors: “I Want to Beat Malaysia”

On the afternoon of March 21, the Vietnam national team held their first training session at the training center, officially kicking off the March camp in preparation for the upcoming important matches. The atmosphere on the pitch was lively, intense, and full of determination as the players quickly adapted to the coaching staff’s program.

Notably, the session featured newcomer Hoang Hen alongside striker Xuan Son—two players who are attracting significant attention from fans. For Hoang Hen, this marks his first call-up to the national team under coach Kim Sang Sik. Despite that, he integrated quickly with his teammates, showing a positive attitude and strong effort in every drill.

Speaking to the media before training, Hoang Hen expressed his excitement about his first national team call-up: “I feel very happy and proud. When I received the news, I immediately told my mother and my wife. My family is my biggest motivation to keep improving every day. Coach Kim Sang Sik told me to stay relaxed and just focus on playing well,” he said.

Regarding his goals with the team, Hoang Hen added: “The whole team is aiming for the best possible results in the upcoming matches. Personally, I’m always ready and want to contribute to helping the team win against Bangladesh and Malaysia.”

According to observations, the coaching staff mainly had the players do light exercises, ball familiarization, and some basic tactical drills. Key players maintained stable form, while young and new players like Hoang Hen showed strong determination to impress.

The first training session concluded in a positive atmosphere, raising expectations for a productive training camp as Vietnam prepares for the challenges ahead.
