Nam Dinh awaits the confirmation of their opponent in the AFC Champions League Two

Today, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will conduct the group stage draw for the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Two (commonly referred to as the Asian Cup C2), a tournament featuring the participation of Nam Dinh FC.

According to the AFC’s announcement, the draw will take place at 2:00 PM today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament will include a total of 32 clubs, divided into two regions: West Asia and East Asia, with 16 teams in each region. Representing the V-League in the East Asia region, Nam Dinh FC, the reigning champions, will be competing.

Nam Dinh FC has been placed in Pot 2, alongside Port FC (Thailand), Sydney FC (Australia), and Selangor (Malaysia). Pot 1 consists of top-seeded teams Sanfrecce Hiroshima (Japan), Jeonbuk (South Korea), Zhejiang (China), and Bangkok United (Thailand).

Pot 3 includes Lee Man (Hong Kong, China), Kaya (Philippines), Lions City (Singapore), and Muangthong United (Thailand). The final pot, Pot 4, features Eastern (Hong Kong, China), Dynamic Herb Cebu (Philippines), Tampines Rovers (Singapore), and Persib Bandung (Indonesia).

The group stage is set to begin in September, with teams playing in a home-and-away format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round. Analysts believe that Nam Dinh FC has a strong chance of progressing beyond the group stage.

This marks an important opportunity for Nam Dinh FC to showcase their strength on the continental stage, as they compete against some of the best clubs in East Asia. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the draw results and the upcoming matches, hopeful that Nam Dinh FC can make a deep run in the tournament.
