V.League 1 sees significant rise in transfer market value

According to the latest data compiled by Transfermarkt, the V-League has seen a notable increase in its total player transfer market value, reaching €45.17 million as of September 2024. This marks a rise of €2.67 million compared to March 2024, reflecting the growing investment and interest in the league as it continues to attract top domestic and foreign talents.

Nam Dinh, Hanoi FC, and Hanoi Police FC Lead in Squad Value

At the forefront of this increase are three clubs: Nam Dinh FC, Hanoi FC, and Hanoi Police FC (CAHN), all of which boast the highest squad values in the V-League. These teams have been aggressive in the transfer market, seeking to enhance their competitiveness, both domestically and internationally.

Nam Dinh FC, in particular, has seen a sharp rise in its squad value. Following their qualification for the AFC Champions League Two, the club has heavily invested in strengthening its roster, especially with the addition of several foreign players. As a result, Nam Dinh’s squad value has increased to €1.85 million, reflecting their ambition to make a significant impact in both the V-League and continental competitions.

Nam Dinh’s Strategic Investments for AFC Champions League Two

Nam Dinh’s surge in squad value can be attributed to their strategic signings ahead of the AFC Champions League Two, where they will compete against strong clubs from across Asia. The club has brought in a mix of experienced foreign players and young local talents, aiming to strike the right balance between youth and experience.

Notably, Nam Dinh has signed key foreign players such as Rafaelson (Nguyen Xuan Son), Lucas Araujo, Walber Mota, Joseph Mpande, Caio César, Hendrio, and Lucas Silva, among others. These players, with their international experience and skill sets, are expected to elevate Nam Dinh’s performance on both domestic and international stages. The club’s management has made it clear that their focus is not only on competing in the V-League but also on representing Vietnam with pride in the AFC Champions League Two.

Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police FC Also Contribute to Market Growth

Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police FC have also contributed significantly to the overall rise in the V-League’s transfer market value. Both clubs have a long-standing tradition of success in Vietnamese football and have consistently invested in high-quality players, both foreign and domestic, to maintain their status as top contenders in the league.

Hanoi FC, in particular, has maintained a strong core of Vietnamese international players, such as Quang Hai and Do Hung Dung, while also adding foreign talent to bolster their squad. Their ability to consistently compete for titles, combined with their player investments, has kept them among the most valuable teams in the league.

Similarly, Hanoi Police FC, with its recent influx of new signings like Jason Quang Vinh Pendant and Vitao, has bolstered its squad value. The club’s ambition to challenge for the V-League title and compete internationally is reflected in their transfer market activity, positioning them as one of the most valuable clubs in Vietnam.

V-League’s Growing Appeal and Competitive Edge

The increase in V-League’s transfer market value is a reflection of the growing appeal and competitiveness of the league. As clubs continue to invest in better players, the overall quality of the league improves, attracting more attention from fans, sponsors, and international markets.

With more foreign players entering the league and the AFC’s recent changes in regulations regarding foreign player registration, V-League clubs have more flexibility in building their squads. This not only strengthens the teams but also increases the league’s reputation on the continental stage.

Future Prospects for V-League Clubs

As the 2024/2025 season unfolds, clubs like Nam Dinh, Hanoi FC, and Hanoi Police FC will aim to capitalize on their investments and deliver strong performances in both domestic and international competitions. With the growing transfer market value, the V-League is poised to continue its upward trajectory, attracting more talent and increasing its standing within Asian football.

As Nam Dinh prepares for its AFC Champions League Two campaign, and other top clubs aim for V-League glory, the future looks bright for Vietnamese football. The continued investment in players and infrastructure signals a promising path ahead for the V-League and its clubs.
