VPF postpones a V.League 1 match due to the impact of Typhoon Trami

In an urgent move to ensure the safety of players, coaching staff, and fans, the Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF) has issued a directive to postpone the V-League Round 5 match between Da Nang FC and Hai Phong FC, originally scheduled for October 27 at 5:00 p.m. The match has now been rescheduled to the following day, October 28, at the same time, due to the imminent impact of Storm Tra Mi.

The VPF’s organizing committee has also urged Da Nang FC, Hai Phong FC, and all related departments and teams to closely monitor updates, work collaboratively, and adhere strictly to safety and storm prevention measures issued by local authorities in Da Nang. Effective coordination and timely communication with the VPF organizing committee are also emphasized to handle any emerging issues promptly.

As Storm Tra Mi approaches the central Vietnamese coast, Da Nang is experiencing increasingly severe weather conditions, with strong winds and heavy rain affecting the city. Key areas, including the Hoa Cam Overpass, Le Dai Hanh Street (Cam Le District), and major roads such as Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, and Pham Van Dong in Son Tra District, have witnessed tree damage due to high winds.

The postponement decision aligns with the VPF’s focus on prioritizing safety while ensuring that both clubs and all involved are well-prepared to face the challenges posed by the storm.
