
The HDBank Futsal National Championship 2025 is set to kick off, promising to be an exciting competition with the participation of 8 teams, battling it out in a home-and-away format. The tournament will run from February 16 to June 29, 2025, and matches will be held in two major cities: Hanoi (Cau Giay Indoor Stadium) and Ho Chi Minh City (District 8 Futsal Club Stadium).
The league follows the success of the 2024 season, with this year’s format expanding the action to maintain a similar level of intensity and excitement. The 8 teams competing for the title are: Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako, Hanoi, Tan Hiep Hung , Sai Gon Titans, Luxury Ha Long, and Youth Ho Chi Minh city. Each club is permitted to register one foreign player and one Vietnamese-origin player. The league will follow a round-robin format across 2 phases, with 7 rounds in each, totaling 14 competitive rounds. The first phase of the competition will include 7 rounds and run from February 16 to March 8, followed by a break. The second part of the tournament resumes with matches starting from round 5, taking place from May 6 to May 18. The second phase will also include 7 rounds and will run from May 25 to June 29. Nguyen Van Phu, the General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), emphasized the importance of the annual futsal tournament as an official sporting event under VFF’s system.
He noted that the HDBank Futsal 2025 would provide futsal players the opportunity to train, gain competitive experience, and build confidence for international competition. Phú expressed his confidence that, with the collaboration between the VOV (Voice of Vietnam) and HDBank, the tournament will continue to receive significant fan support and raise the level of play on the court. It will foster healthy competition and help uncover talented players for the Vietnam futsal team, with ambitious goals for the future.

The Vietnam Women’s Futsal Team broke Thailand’s domination to claim the ASEAN Futsal Championship for the first time, with a strong campaign that will help boost their preparation for the Asian Futsal Championship and World Cup qualifiers in the Philippines. Meanwhile, the Vietnam Men’s Futsal Team has maintained its leading position regionally, securing the runner-up spot in the 2024 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship. This season’s championship will be held in two major cities: Ha Noi, with matches at Cau Giay Stadium, and Ho Chi Minh City, where games will take place at the District 8 Futsal Stadium. The competition will run from February 16 to June 29, featuring a double round-robin format. In the first leg, teams will play seven rounds – the initial four rounds are scheduled from February 16 to March 8, followed by a break, with rounds five taking place from May 6 to May 18. The return leg starts with round eight and extends from May 25 to June 29. Each club is permitted to register one foreign player and one domestic player under the competition rules, a stipulation that aims to balance local talent with international experience. The eight participating teams are Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh city, Thai Son Bac, Sahako, Ha Noi, Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh city, Sai Gon Titans Ho Chi Minh city, Luxury Ha Long, and Tre Ho Chi Minh city. This diverse lineup not only guarantees competitive play but also provides an excellent platform for discovering emerging talents who could represent the Vietnam futsal team on the international stage.

Similarly, the men’s futsal team has maintained its leading position in the region, finishing as runners-up in the 2024 Southeast Asia tournament.
