Following the initial inspection on February 21, VPF Company and the Tournament Organizing Committee conducted a second evaluation of the Ha Tinh stadium’s current condition on the afternoon of February 24. This follow-up inspection was attended by representatives from Hong Linh Ha Tinh and Ha Tinh provincial sports center, the body responsible for managing the stadium.
Prior to this second check, VPF had notified all parties that the quality of Hong Linh Ha Tinh playing surface did not meet the standards required for hosting professional matches for Hong Linh Ha Tinh. In response, both Hong Linh Ha Tinh and the Ha Tinh Sports Center took immediate and proactive measures to address the issue. They launched a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the pitch’s condition, recognizing that without their own dedicated training facility, Hong Linh Ha Tinh’s match and training schedules had been heavily impacted. Compounding the challenge, the northern weather conditions have also played a significant role, contributing to the poor quality of the pitch and making it difficult to maintain a consistent playing surface.
Over the past two weeks, Hong Linh Ha Tinh has temporarily halted all training and match activities on the Ha Tinh pitch as directed by the Tournament Organizing Committee. This pause allowed the club to concentrate fully on pitch maintenance. One of the key steps taken was the purchase of specialized, high-quality turf designed to quickly rejuvenate areas of dead grass. This solution, though promising, still faces hurdles. Due to prolonged periods of rain and cold weather—a frequent occurrence in the region—the newly laid turf requires additional time to take root and grow properly.
During the inspection on February 24, representatives from VPF, the Organizing Committee, and Hong Linh Ha Tinh agreed that further time was necessary before the playing surface could be deemed fully suitable for hosting professional matches. As a precautionary measure and to ensure the safety and quality of future fixtures, Hong Linh Ha Tinh has proactively registered to play their upcoming Round 15 LPBank V.League 1 match against Dong A Thanh Hoa at Vinh Stadium. This contingency plan was implemented in case the improvements to the Ha Tinh pitch do not reach the required standards in time.
This development underscores the ongoing challenges that clubs like Hong Linh Ha Tinh face when they do not have access to a dedicated training ground, as well as the significant impact that adverse weather conditions can have on stadium infrastructure. While the club’s efforts to invest in specialized turf and intensify pitch care are steps in the right direction, the situation remains dynamic. Both the club and the tournament organizers are closely monitoring progress, and further inspections will likely determine whether the Ha Tinh pitch can resume hosting competitive fixtures in the near future.
For now, the decision to shift the Round 15 match to Vinh Stadium ensures that players and fans alike will not be compromised by a substandard playing surface, while Hong Linh Ha Tinh continues its efforts to meet professional league requirements under challenging conditions.
