Bac Ninh, 28 May, 2025 – Coach Hoang Anh Tuan has unexpectedly parted ways with Bac Ninh FC, the club that had Park Hang Seo in an advisory role, just after a short tenure.
According to the latest reports, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan has officially bid farewell to Bac Ninh FC following their 0-1 defeat to Quang Ninh in round 6 of the 2025 National Second Division. This decision came as a shock to many, as it was the first loss for Bac Ninh since the start of the season.
Currently, after six rounds, the Kinh Bac-based team has won 4 matches, drawn 1, and lost only 1. Bac Ninh is temporarily ranked 3rd, trailing Quang Ninh by just 1 point and the top team PVF-CAND by 2 points. However, Bac Ninh still has one game in hand compared to PVF-CAND, keeping their hopes of promotion to the First Division alive.
Hoang Anh Tuan joined Bac Ninh in March of this year. With his wealth of experience and proven ability, the former U23 Vietnam coach was expected to help the team make significant strides, aiming for promotion to the First Division in the upcoming season. Under his guidance, Bac Ninh started the first phase of the Second Division campaign impressively, remaining unbeaten and topping the table.
Unfortunately, in the very first match of the second phase, Bac Ninh suffered a loss against direct rivals Quang Ninh. Despite this setback, Bac Ninh still has crucial matches ahead in their quest for promotion. According to the competition’s rules, only the top two teams in the standings will earn a place in next season’s First Division.
Following Coach Hoang Anh Tuan’s departure, Bac Ninh is quickly searching for a new manager to fill the void and lead the team in their remaining fixtures.
