Kuala Lumpur, 27 May, 2025 – On the afternoon of May 27, the press conference ahead of the match between Manchester United and the ASEAN All Stars took place in Malaysia.
Attending the press conference with Coach Kim Sang Sik was Malaysian striker Sergio Aguero. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s Coach Ruben Amorim was accompanied by his player, Mason Mount.
Although Coach Kim Sang Sik only had two days to train and assemble the team with players from various Southeast Asian countries, he remains confident about the strength of ASEAN All Stars: “We had just one training session yesterday afternoon and didn’t have the full team. However, the whole team will still aim for the best possible result against Manchester United. I also want to thank the organizers for bringing a meaningful match for the coaching staff, players, and fans.”
Additionally, Manchester United’s Coach Ruben Amorim emphasized the importance of this friendly match. “It is an honor for Manchester United to be here. This is an important match not only for the professional aspect but also for connecting Southeast Asian fans with the club. Therefore, we will try our best to provide a great performance for the fans. This is also an opportunity for our young players to gain experience and improve as we look ahead to a successful new season,” said the Manchester United manager.
The match between ASEAN All Stars and Manchester United will take place at 19:45 (Vietnam time) on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. Vietnam contributes four players: Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Hai Long, Nguyen Hoang Duc, and Nguyen Van Vi.
