Ha Tinh, 25 June, 2025 – Luong Xuan Truong has officially announced his departure from Hong Linh Ha Tinh following the conclusion of the 2024/25 V.League 1 season. The 29-year-old confirmed the news in a heartfelt video shared on June 25, where he expressed deep gratitude to head coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, the club’s management, staff, teammates, and supporters.
“I expressed my desire to move to another club for the next season, and I’ve had a sincere conversation with Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong,” Xuan Truong said in the 12-minute clip. “I want to thank him for respecting and accepting my wish. My decision has nothing to do with professional issues or relationships at the club.”
Having joined Ha Tinh during the second phase of the 2023/24 season on loan from Hai Phong, Xuan Truong found a rejuvenated sense of purpose at the club. The former Hoang Anh Gia Lai captain praised the professionalism and unity within the squad, noting that Ha Tinh was among the few clubs in V.League that offered such a positive working environment. He also shared the special joy of playing alongside veterans like Trong Hoang and reconnecting with familiar teammates.
“I feel lucky to have worked with so many dedicated individuals here. Everyone, even those who didn’t play often, remained committed to the team’s success. That spirit helped us achieve strong results and finish fifth in the standings,” he added.
Though no longer at his peak, the Tuyen Quang native proved a reliable presence in midfield throughout the season. His stability and experience contributed significantly to Ha Tinh’s impressive campaign.
Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong also shared his sentiments regarding Xuan Truong’s departure. “All of our players are valuable, and I don’t want to stand in the way of anyone’s goals. I fully support Truong’s decision and wish him all the best at his next club,” the coach said.
According to recent transfer rumors, Xuan Truong is expected to join Binh Phuoc FC. The southern club is just one step away from promotion and will face SHB Da Nang in the decisive play-off match on June 27 at Thong Nhat Stadium. With ambitions to secure a spot in V.League 1, Binh Phuoc has already made headlines with the signings of experienced stars like Nguyen Cong Phuong, Tran Phi Son, and Bui Tan Truong — and the addition of Xuan Truong could further bolster their midfield quality and leadership.
