Binh Phuoc, 14 July, 2025 – Binh Phuoc FC have officially announced the signing of midfielder Luong Xuan Truong as their first new recruit for the 2025/26 season. The former Hoang Anh Gia Lai star is set for an emotional reunion with longtime teammate Nguyen Cong Phuong.
Xuan Truong’s move comes shortly after the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, during which he decided to leave Hong Linh Ha Tinh despite having a contract valid until the summer of 2027. According to sources, the departure was driven by personal reasons, with the midfielder requesting to leave and the club ultimately approving his wish.
The addition of Xuan Truong is seen as a significant boost to Binh Phuoc FC’s midfield as the club intensifies its efforts to secure promotion to the V.League 1 in the upcoming season. Known for his vision, passing ability, and leadership, Xuan Truong is expected to bring experience and stability to a squad undergoing major changes.
Before acquiring Xuan Truong, Binh Phuoc FC parted ways with 13 players, as well as head coach Quoc Anh and five members of his coaching staff. The club is currently undergoing a comprehensive rebuild ahead of the new campaign.
Multiple sources have revealed that Binh Phuoc FC are also pursuing two other former Hoang Anh Gia Lai players — midfielder Tran Minh Vuong and defender Hoang Van Son — as part of their reinforcement plan.
The arrival of Luong Xuan Truong, who once captained Hoang Anh Gia Lai and featured regularly for the national team, underlines Binh Phuoc’s ambitions.
