U22 Vietnam breaks down China win, plots tactical plan to defeat U22 Uzbekistan

Chengdu, 14 November 2025 – Following their 1-0 victory against hosts U22 China, the U22 Vietnam squad held a detailed tactical review session on the morning of November 14 to strengthen team performance and prepare for the upcoming match against U22 Uzbekistan at the CFA Team China – Panda Cup 2025.

U22 Vietnam team conducted an important evaluation meeting on the morning of November 14 following their opening victory over U22 China in the Panda Cup 2025. The session aimed to refine tactical execution, enhance match efficiency, and identify key improvements ahead of the second fixture against U22 Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the coaching staff, led by acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh, analyzed in detail the data and video footage from the match against China. The players reviewed specific game situations to better understand both their strengths and areas needing improvement.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh praised the team’s fighting spirit and focus during crucial moments, highlighting their discipline and tactical awareness throughout the match. However, he also urged the players to further improve their ball control, transition speed, and finishing efficiency in decisive situations.

“The win against China was important, but what matters most is our progress in each game,” coach Vinh emphasized. “Uzbekistan are a strong opponent — well-organized and technically skilled — so we must prepare even more carefully to maintain control and consistency.”

Team leader Tran Anh Tu also commended the squad for their composure and determination in the opening match, noting that the Panda Cup 2025 provides a valuable opportunity for the players to gain international experience ahead of major tournaments such as the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Finals.

He reminded the players to stay fully focused, manage their recovery, and maintain top physical condition for the remaining two matches — especially the upcoming clash against U22 Uzbekistan scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (Vietnam time) on November 15.

The encounter with Uzbekistan is expected to be a stern test for U22 Vietnam, but also a crucial chance for the coaching staff to evaluate player combinations, build tactical cohesion, and fine-tune the team’s style of play as they continue their preparation for key regional and continental objectives.
