Chonburi, 11 December 2025 – A crucial 2–0 victory over Myanmar secured Vietnam’s place in the SEA Games 33 semi-finals as Group B winners, and the team received a significant bonus for their impressive response under pressure.

Vietnam delivered a vital and composed performance to defeat Myanmar 2–0, securing their spot in the semi-finals of the women’s football tournament at SEA Games 33. After the painful late loss to the Philippines, the pressure on Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players was immense, but the team responded with maturity and determination. Goals from Ngan Thi Van Su and Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy ensured Vietnam finished at the top of Group B and kept their hopes of defending the gold medal fully alive.

With renewed confidence and strong momentum, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players will continue their mission to defend the crown and bring home another historic SEA Games gold medal for Vietnamese football.
