Qatar, 28 December 2025 – Forward Dinh Bac says he and his teammates are fully focused and determined to achieve the best possible results as Vietnam U23 prepare for the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026.
Speaking to the media, Nguyen Dinh Bac stressed that Vietnam U23 are approaching the continental tournament with maximum determination. The squad are currently training in Qatar as part of their final preparations before travelling to Saudi Arabia for the finals.
“We are very excited to be in this training phase in Qatar before heading to Saudi Arabia for the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026. This is an extremely important period, so everyone is fully focused and giving their best,” Dinh Bac shared.
According to the 21-year-old forward, the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 represents a major test for Vietnam U23 as they step onto the continental stage. “This tournament is a chance for the whole team to assess our ability and competitive mindset at Asian level. I hope we will stay united, show strong determination, play well, and achieve positive results for Vietnamese football,” he said.
Responding to the high expectations from fans following the success of Vietnam U22 and U23 teams throughout 2025, Dinh Bac underlined his personal commitment. “I will train hard, maintain a professional lifestyle, and make sure I am in the best possible condition to meet the expectations of the supporters. For me, individual awards are an honour, but collective success is always the most important thing,” he emphasized.
As part of the preparation plan, Vietnam U23 are scheduled to play a friendly match against Syria U23 to review personnel options and fine-tune their playing style before departing for Saudi Arabia on January 2, 2026.
At the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026, Vietnam U23 will face Jordan U23 on January 6, followed by matches against Kyrgyzstan U23 on January 9 and hosts Saudi Arabia U23 on January 12.
