Hanoi, 8 March 2026 – U23 Vietnam will participate in the CFA Team China – Xi’an 2026 International Football Tournament at the invitation of the Chinese Football Association. The competition will take place from March 25 to March 31, 2026, in Xi’an, China, and will feature four teams: U23 China, U23 Vietnam, U23 Thailand, and U23 DPR Korea.
According to the tournament format, the four teams will compete in a single round-robin format to determine the final standings. Based on the schedule released by the organizers, U23 Vietnam will face U23 DPR Korea on March 25, take on U23 Thailand on March 28, and conclude the tournament against hosts U23 China on March 31.
To prepare for the event, U23 Vietnam are expected to begin their training camp in Hanoi on March 17. This gathering is part of the Vietnam Football Federation’s long-term strategy to build a strong pipeline of players for the senior national team.
Through participation in the international tournament in Xi’an, the coaching staff hopes the young players will gain valuable international experience, improve their competitive mentality, and further develop their technical abilities as part of preparations for the 2026 Asian Games.
