Hanoi, 13 March 2026 – Naturalized midfielder of Brazilian origin Do Hoang Hen delivered an assist as Hanoi FC defeated Song Lam Nghe An 3–0 in Round 16, reaching a milestone of directly contributing to 10 goals in the V.League 1 2025–2026 season.
In the 68th minute, Hoang Hen swung in a curling cross from the left flank into the penalty area, where David Fisher rose to head the ball into the net and open the scoring for Hanoi FC. It marked the fourth assist of the season for the 1994-born midfielder, who has also scored six goals in just ten league appearances.
With that contribution, Hoang Hen became the first Hanoi FC player this season to reach double digits in goal involvements. Striker Daniel Passira follows behind with five goals and three assists. The midfielder’s impressive form is also seen as a positive sign ahead of a potential call-up to the Vietnam national team, which is preparing for a crucial Asian Cup 2027 qualifier against Malaysia on March 31.
Across the entire league, only five players currently have better attacking statistics than Hoang Hen. Leading the list are two players from Hanoi Police FC: Alan Grafite, who has recorded 13 goals and two assists, and Leo Artur, with eight goals and seven assists. They are followed by Lucao Vinicius of The Cong Viettel (8 goals, 3 assists), Imoh Friday (7 goals, 4 assists), and Nguyen Hoang Duc of Ninh Binh FC (6 goals, 5 assists).

Hoang Hen, whose real name is Hendrio Araujo da Silva, was born in Brazil and has developed into one of the most creative attacking midfielders in V.League. He first gained attention after joining Binh Dinh in January 2021 before moving to Nam Dinh in early 2023. This season, he signed for Hanoi FC on a contract running until the end of the 2027–2028 season. However, he missed the start of the campaign while waiting to complete his naturalization process.
On October 17, 2025, Hoang Hen officially obtained Vietnamese citizenship. He later made his debut for Hanoi FC in a 1–2 defeat to Ninh Binh FC in Round 7 of the league. Since then, his influence has grown significantly, helping Hanoi FC remain competitive near the top of the table, especially as veteran captain Nguyen Van Quyet, now 35, can no longer maintain the same physical intensity as before.
At Hang Day Stadium on the evening of March 13, Hanoi FC faced a confident Song Lam Nghe An side that had been riding a three-match winning streak. Nevertheless, the team coached by Harry Kewell controlled the match from start to finish.
Before setting up Fisher’s opening goal, Hoang Hen had already missed several opportunities himself, either shooting wide or being denied by goalkeeper Cao Van Binh. Hanoi FC later sealed the convincing victory with additional goals from Nguyen Hai Long in the 72nd minute and Nguyen Van Quyet, who converted a penalty in the 90th minute.
The 3–0 victory helped Hanoi FC strengthen their hold on fourth place with 27 points. They remain one point behind Ninh Binh FC and four points behind The Cong Viettel, while having played one match more. The gap to league leaders Hanoi Police FC stands at eight points, with Hanoi FC also having played two matches more.
Hanoi FC will now enter a break of more than two weeks as they are not involved in the National Cup quarterfinals and the league pauses for the Vietnam national team’s international preparations. Their next match will take place on April 4, when they travel to face Hai Phong FC in Round 17 of V.League 1.
