Australia, 12 April 2026 – On the morning of April 12, during their tour in Australia, the Vietnam U15 women’s team suffered a 0-4 defeat against NSW Sky U15 in a friendly match.
From the opening minutes, the New South Wales side pushed forward aggressively and quickly made an impact. In the 3rd minute, they attacked down the flank, with a diagonal shot hitting the post before a NSW Sky player followed up to score the opener.
For the remainder of the first half, both teams created a few chances but failed to convert. In the 29th minute, Vietnam U15 women had a notable opportunity when Ma Ngoc Anh sprinted down the left wing and delivered a cross to Ngoc Lan, but her shot went over the bar. The first half ended with NSW Sky leading 1-0.
In the second half, NSW Sky maintained their pressure. In the 40th minute, from a set-piece on the right flank, they combined effectively with a one-touch move to double the lead. Five minutes later, they intercepted the ball in midfield and launched a quick counterattack to score their third goal.
In the 54th minute, NSW Sky exploited the wing once again and capitalized on a second-ball situation to seal a 4-0 victory. Despite the result, the match provided valuable experience for Vietnam U15 women as they continue to develop through international competition.
After the first three matches, Vietnam U15 women are currently ranked third in the standings and will face second-placed Queensland U15 later the same day (April 12).
