Hanoi, 6 July 2026 – On the afternoon of July 6, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and FPT Play held a ceremony to announce the main sponsor and conduct the draw for the 2026 National U21 Championship Finals.
FPT Play will officially accompany the tournament as the main sponsor, media partner, producer, and exclusive broadcaster of the finals, now named the 2026 National U21 Championship – FPT Play Cup.
VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu said the National U21 Championship is an important competition in Vietnam’s youth football system. He stressed that the tournament plays a key role in developing future players for the Vietnam U23 team and the senior national team, while also helping clubs discover and nurture young talent.
“VFF highly appreciates FPT Play’s support as the main sponsor, media partner, production unit, and broadcaster of the tournament. We believe this cooperation will help improve the organization, promote the image of the competition, and give young players more motivation to continue developing and contributing to Vietnamese football in the future,” Nguyen Van Phu said.
The 2026 National U21 Championship Finals will take place from July 12 to 25 at the PVF – Ministry of Public Security Training Center in Hung Yen.
A total of 12 teams will compete in the finals, divided into three groups. Group A features U21 PVF-CAND, U21 Hanoi, U21 Ho Chi Minh City, and U21 An Giang. Group B includes U21 LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai, U21 The Cong Viettel, U21 Song Lam Nghe An, and U21 Tay Ninh. Group C consists of U21 Dong Nai, U21 PVF, U21 Hanoi Police FC, and U21 SHB Da Nang.
U21 Hanoi are the most successful team in the tournament’s history with six titles, followed by U21 Song Lam Nghe An with five. U21 PVF enter this year’s finals as the defending champions after winning the 2025 edition.
At the finals, teams will play in a single round-robin format within their groups. The three group winners, three runners-up, and two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals.
This year’s total prize fund is VND 500 million. The champions will receive VND 250 million, the runners-up will earn VND 120 million, while the two third-placed teams will each receive VND 60 million.
