Hanoi, 10 July 2026 – Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) officially launched the 2026 Vietnam National U17 Championship Finals on July 10 by announcing Red Dragon Energy Drink as the tournament’s title sponsor and conducting the official draw for the competition.
Branded as the 2026 National U17 Championship – Red Dragon Cup, the tournament continues to serve as one of Vietnam’s premier youth football competitions, providing a crucial platform for identifying and developing the country’s brightest young talents while helping build the foundation for the future of Vietnamese football.
Speaking at the ceremony, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu emphasized the importance of youth development in the federation’s long-term vision.

“Youth football has always been at the heart of Vietnam’s sustainable football development strategy. The partnership with URC Vietnam for the 2026 National U17 Championship Finals not only enhances the quality of the tournament’s organization but also inspires and motivates young players as they pursue their football dreams,” he said.
The event also featured the official group-stage draw for the tournament. The finals will bring together 12 of the country’s strongest U17 teams, all of whom advanced through the qualification stage. The teams have been divided into three groups and will compete from July 16 to July 29, 2026, at Pleiku Stadium in Gia Lai Province.
The draw produced the following groups:
Group A: Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Da Nang, The Cong Viettel I, PVF
Group B: Song Lam Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City, PVF-CAND, Dong Nai
Group C: Hanoi, Hue, Dong Thap, Lam Dong
The tournament will offer a total prize pool of more than VND 300 million in cash, excluding additional sponsor gifts. The champions will receive VND 100 million, while the runners-up will earn VND 80 million. Each of the two third-placed teams will be awarded VND 50 million.
