Ninh Binh, 14 July 2026 – Ninh Binh have underlined their ambition ahead of the new season by officially completing the signing of Brazilian midfielder. Romeu Martins.
Standing 1.85 metres tall, Martins is highly regarded for his physical strength, stamina and ability to compete aggressively for possession. In addition to his ball-winning qualities in midfield, the Brazilian can also make a valuable contribution in attack. During his time with Sukhothai FC in Thailand last season, he scored five goals and provided one assist.
Versatility is another major strength in Martins’ game, as he is also capable of operating as a centre-back when required. Having already gained experience in the Thai League, the midfielder is expected to adapt quickly to his new teammates and the demands of Southeast Asian football.

Ninh Binh’s midfield is shaping up to be one of the strongest areas of the squad next season. Alongside the creativity of Hoang Duc, the club have added two foreign players in Marciel Da Silva and Romeu Martins. While Marciel is expected to control the tempo and dictate play, Martins will provide strength, defensive cover and ball-winning ability in central areas.
Ninh Binh FC enjoyed an impressive campaign last season despite having only recently earned promotion. The club finished third in the V.League and also reached the National Cup final, ending the competition as runners-up.
