Ho Chi Minh City Police FC reinforce their midfield ahead of new V.League 1 season

Ho Chi Minh City, 4 August 2026 – Ho Chi Minh City Police FC have continued strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026/27 V.League 1 season by completing the signing of Angola international. Aldair Ferreira, according to the latest transfer updates.

Born in 1998, Aldair Ferreira stands 1.75 meters tall and developed through the youth academy of Gil Vicente, one of Portugal’s oldest clubs and a regular competitor in the Primeira Liga.

Before making the move to Vietnam, the midfielder played for Romanian top-flight side FC Botoșani, where he gained valuable experience in European football. Aldair is also a current member of the Angola national team and is valued at approximately €550,000.

Primarily a central midfielder, Aldair is also capable of operating on either wing, giving the coaching staff additional tactical flexibility. Known for his outstanding work rate, physicality, ball-winning ability, and accurate passing, the 28-year-old is expected to add stability and creativity to Ho Chi Minh City Police FC’s midfield in the upcoming campaign.

The club will be allowed to register seven foreign players for the 2026/27 season thanks to its participation in the ASEAN Club Championship, prompting a major overhaul of its overseas contingent. To prepare for the busy schedule, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC parted ways with all of last season’s foreign players in favor of a completely rebuilt international roster.

Aldair Ferreira becomes the latest addition to an increasingly impressive list of new foreign signings. The club has already secured Dutch defender Dirk Abels and Nigerian striker Michael Olaha, while announcements for four more foreign recruits are expected in the coming weeks as Ho Chi Minh City Police FC continues assembling a squad capable of challenging for domestic and regional honors in the 2026/27 season.
