Hanoi, 6 August 2026 – The 2026/27 V.League 1 fixture draw has handed Hoang Anh Gia Lai one of the toughest possible starts, with the Mountain City club set to visit title contenders Nam Dinh in the opening round of the new season.
The draw ceremony was held by the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) on August 6, officially revealing the schedule for the upcoming campaign.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai will travel to Thien Truong Stadium to face a Nam Dinh side widely regarded as one of the favorites for the championship. The hosts have been among the busiest clubs during the 2026 summer transfer window, significantly strengthening their squad with the clear objective of reclaiming the V.League 1 title.
Meanwhile, Hanoi Police FC will begin their campaign at home against Ha Tinh. Although Alexandre Polking’s side enter the match as favorites, they are expected to face a stern challenge from a Ha Tinh team that has earned a reputation as one of the league’s toughest and most resilient opponents.
