Da Nang, 7 July, 2025 – Following Nam Dinh FC’s clarification, another V.League 1 club, Quang Nam FC, has officially denied rumors regarding a name change or relocation following provincial and municipal merger discussions.
In a recent statement, Quang Nam FC affirmed that it will retain its current name and continue operations as usual. This comes after unverified reports suggested the Tam Ky-based club might undergo a rebranding and relocate its headquarters either to the North or South.
“The club is currently operating normally and is focusing on training in preparation for the upcoming season. There are no plans for a name change or moving our base of operations,” a club representative confirmed.
In addition, the club addressed a temporary issue with its official Facebook page: “Our official fanpage encountered a technical issue and was temporarily hidden. However, within 24 hours, our admin team successfully restored the page to ensure accurate updates for our fans. We kindly ask everyone not to share unverified information and to continue supporting the club moving forward.”
Previously, Nam Dinh FC also released an official statement confirming that it would maintain its name, countering false rumors suggesting a possible change.
As clubs gear up for the new season, both Nam Dinh FC and Quang Nam FC have reassured supporters that their identities will remain intact despite ongoing administrative changes at the provincial level.
