Ninh Binh, 14 November 2025 – Nam Dinh FC have confirmed the appointment of Portuguese strategist Mauro Jeromino as their new head coach on 14 November, marking a significant step in the club’s restructuring as they prepare for four major competitions in the 2025/2026 season.
Nam Dinh FC introduced their new head coach Mauro Jeromino on 14 November, after CEO Vu Hong Viet handed over the official appointment decision at the club headquarters. Born in 1987, the Portuguese coach becomes the latest addition to the team’s leadership structure as Nam Dinh aim to stabilise performance and strengthen competitiveness across all fronts.
Speaking at the ceremony, coach Mauro Jeromino expressed his pride and determination ahead of his new challenge at Thien Truong Stadium. “I am honoured to join Nam Dinh FC. This is a quality team with strong investment and many talented players. We will work together, fight together, and aim for the best possible results,” he said.
He also emphasised the unique opportunity the club holds in the current season. “This year, Nam Dinh compete in four tournaments, both domestically and internationally. It is both a challenge and a privilege. Not many clubs in Vietnam get such a chance,” he added.
According to the club’s plan, Mauro Jeromino will officially debut on the touchline on 23 November, when Nam Dinh host Long An in the Round of 16 of the National Cup 2025/2026 at Thien Truong Stadium. This match will mark his first opportunity to showcase his tactical approach and lead the team after a difficult period marked by inconsistent form and a long winless streak.
Alongside the coaching appointment, Nam Dinh FC are implementing structural adjustments to operate more efficiently. Vu Hong Viet will serve as both General Director of the parent company and CEO of the club. Nguyen Quoc Phong and Lam Van Tho are appointed Deputy CEOs, while Nguyen Trung Kien assumes the role of Technical Director.
The arrival of coach Mauro Jeromino is expected to bring renewed energy and strategic direction to Nam Dinh FC as they aim to regain stability in V.League 1 and continue their Asian campaign with higher ambitions in the months ahead.
