Hanoi, 26 November 2025 – Ahead of the decisive clash against Beijing Guoan, coach Alexandre Polking affirms that Hanoi Police FC will fight for all three points at Hang Day Stadium to keep their hopes of advancing in AFC Champions League Two alive.
Coach Polking and his players have expressed strong determination to secure a vital victory when they host Beijing Guoan in their upcoming AFC Champions League Two group-stage match. With both teams level on points, Hanoi Police FC currently hold a slight advantage thanks to a better goal difference, making the encounter a pivotal turning point in the battle for qualification.
Speaking before the match, coach Polking emphasized the importance of the fixture, describing it as a must-win for both sides. “This is a very important game. It is almost like a do-or-die match. Both teams need to win to advance, and whoever loses will likely be eliminated,” he stated. “We know Beijing Guoan are a very strong opponent. They were considered superior earlier in the campaign, but now they are in the same situation as us. We believe we played well in China, and we know we can compete on equal terms. The objective is clear — we need three points to move into the next round.”
In the first leg in Beijing, Hanoi Police FC delivered an impressive performance but squandered several chances, resulting in a draw. Coach Polking stressed that his players must be more clinical this time, especially as Beijing Guoan are expected to make meaningful adjustments compared to the previous meeting.
The match between Hanoi Police FC and Beijing Guoan is scheduled to kick off at 19:15 on November 27 at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi. With qualification hopes on the line, the atmosphere is expected to be intense as the defending Vietnamese National Cup champions aim to take a major step forward in their AFC Champions League Two campaign.
