Hanoi Football Club and Goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong Reach Agreement to Terminate Contract Three Months Early

Joining the Hang Day stadium team in May 2020, goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong quickly proved his capabilities and completely won the coaching staff’s trust as the main keeper.

Over four seasons, the goalkeeper born in 1986 made 67 appearances, keeping a clean sheet in 26 matches. The Dong Thap native played a crucial role in achieving 1 V.League championship (2022), 2 National Cup titles (2020, 2022), and 2 Vietnam Super Cups (2020, 2022).

The outstanding performance of the 38-year-old goalkeeper in the club’s colors helped him secure a spot in the Vietnam national team for the AFF Cup and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Before his final match for the capital’s team, goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong said: “Firstly, I want to thank the club’s leadership for their trust and the opportunity to return to play after a break. Since then, I have collected some prestigious titles as well as achieved the goal of returning to the Vietnam national team.

Next, I want to thank the coaching staff, teammates, and fans for helping me quickly integrate into the environment from the first days. This will surely be an unforgettable memory in Bui Tan Truong’s career. Goodbye and see you again Hanoi in a new role soon.”

It’s highly likely that goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong will join the Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc team, currently competing in the First Division, from the second phase onwards. Meanwhile, the capital team has registered goalkeeper Nguyen Ba Minh Hieu as Bui Tan Truong’s replacement.
