In the latest V-League transfer news, Hanoi FC has bid farewell to foreign player Brandon Wilson, who previously played for the Australia U23 national team.
Before joining the capital city’s team, the former Australia U23 player had a brief stint in Vietnam playing for Da Nang. Operating in the midfield, Brandon Wilson was considered to have performed quite solidly for Hanoi FC.
According to statistics, this foreign player participated in 10 out of 13 matches in this season’s V-League for the purple-shirt team. He played the full 90 minutes in 9 of those matches. From round 8 to round 13 of the recently concluded V-League, Brandon was always a top choice for the Hanoi FC coaching staff.
However, given that Hanoi FC recently signed newcomers Ewerton and center-back Tim Hall, the capital team had to let go of one foreign player to not exceed the registration limit set by the organizing committee. Therefore, Hanoi FC agreed to “sacrifice” Wilson.
As of now, Hanoi FC retains four foreign players in their squad, including the new signings Ewerton, Tim Hall, and the two players retained from the start of the season, Joel Tagueu and Denilson Jr.
