VFF imposes strict penalties for “foul play” incidents in the V-League

VFF Discipline Committee has issued severe penalties for dangerous foul situations by players in the V-League and National First Division last weekend.

VFF Discipline Committee decided to fine 5 individuals for violations in the most recent round of the V-League and National First Division last weekend.

The heaviest penalty was given to player Nguyen Dinh Loi of Dong Thap, with a monetary fine of 20 million VND and a suspension for 4 matches after a direct kick to the face of Tran Gia Huy (Phu Tho FC).

Defender Mai Sy Hoang of SLNA also had to pay a fine of 15 million VND and was suspended for 2 matches for a double-footed tackle aimed at player Nguyen Tuan Anh of Hai Phong FC.

Technical analyst Danh Hoang Tuan of Ba Ria Vung Tau FC was fined 5 million VND and suspended for 3 matches. He showed excessive reaction towards the referee in the match against Binh Phuoc FC. Additionally, coach Nguyen Minh Phuong of Ba Ria Vung Tau FC was also fined 5 million VND and suspended for 2 matches. The team, which owns the most beautiful stadium in the First Division, was also fined 5 million VND for having 8 players receive yellow cards.

Meanwhile, player Ngan Van Dai (Quang Nam) did not receive additional punishment from the VFF Discipline Committee after a foul in the match against Thanh Cong Viettel. This player will only serve a 2-match suspension for receiving a direct red card.
