After three consecutive matches without a win, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh faced Dong A Thanh Hoa under immense pressure to secure a victory and maintain their lead. The situation became more challenging as Dong A Thanh Hoa quickly took a 2-0 lead. However, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh showcased their resilience and determination, making an astonishing comeback to win 5-2, much to the delight of thousands of fans who traveled from Nam Dinh were scored by striker Rafaelson, demonstrating his versatile scoring abilities. This victory was crucial, especially as their main rivals, Becamex Bình Dương and Hanoi Police FC, did not perform well this round.
With this win, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh increased their lead over the chasing pack. The closest competitor now is MerryLand Quy Nhơn Bình Định, who trail by eight points. Meanwhile, Hanoi FC has climbed to third place with a series of three consecutive victories, now sitting just one point behind MerryLand Quy Nhon Binh Đinh.
Hanoi FC’s recent form has been impressive, moving up from mid-table to a strong third-place position. This round also saw significant performances from Hai Phong and The Cong Viettel. Hai Phong is now in fifth place with 32 points, and The Cong Viettel in seventh with 30 points, both teams enjoying impressive winning streaks.
