The draw for the 2024 Southeast Asian U19 Championship has placed U19 Vietnam in Group B alongside U19 Australia, U19 Myanmar, and U19 Laos. This group is considered competitive, particularly with the presence of strong teams like Australia and Myanmar.
Meanwhile, host U19 Indonesia will compete in Group A with U19 Cambodia, U19 Timor Leste, and U19 Philippines. Group C features U19 Thailand, U19 Malaysia, U19 Singapore, and U19 Brunei. The tournament will be held in Surabaya, Indonesia, from July 17 to July 29, 2024.
The competition format includes three group winners and the best-performing runner-up advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinal matches will face off in the final to determine the champion, while the losers will play in a third-place match.
