U19 Vietnam concedes late goal, falls 1-2 to U19 Uzbekistan

U19 Vietnam suffered a heartbreaking 1-2 defeat against U19 Uzbekistan, conceding a last-minute goal in their final match of the international friendly tournament held in China. This result means coach Hua Hien Vinh and his team ended the tournament winless, losing all three of their matches.

In the match on the afternoon of June 10, coach Hua Hien Vinh made several changes to the lineup. Despite these adjustments, U19 Vietnam played relatively well, preventing Uzbekistan from gaining a significant lead. The opposition only managed to score a controversial goal at the end of the first half, putting them up 1-0.

In the second half, U19 Vietnam not only defended solidly but also found an equalizer in the 75th minute. Goalkeeper Bao Ngoc initiated a brilliant counter-attack, which saw Le Dinh Long Vu beat the Uzbek defenders and their goalkeeper to level the score at 1-1.

However, the match took a turn for the worse in the 85th minute when Hoang Minh Hoi received a red card, leaving U19 Vietnam with only 10 men for the final minutes. Playing with a man down, U19 Vietnam struggled to hold on and ultimately conceded a goal to Komilov, who scored the game-winner for Uzbekistan.

With this 1-2 loss to Uzbekistan, U19 Vietnam concluded the international friendly tournament in China with three consecutive defeats. Previously, coach Hua Hien Vinh’s side lost 0-1 to both U19 China and U19 South Korea.
