Vietnam’s national football team ended their World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign with a 1-3 loss to Iraq. The only goal for Vietnam was scored by Tuan Hai, while Hussein Ali Haidar, Ali Jasim, and Aymen Hussein netted for Iraq.

On the other hand, Iraq finished the second round of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers with a perfect record, winning all six of their matches and advancing to the next stage.
