Song Lam Nghe An signs a central defender who graduated from the Boca Juniors academy

In the 2024 summer transfer window, Song Lam Nghe An decided to retain only one of their foreign players, Olaha, making it necessary to recruit two additional foreign players for the 2024-25 V-League season. Recently, Song Lam Nghe An announced the successful signing of Paraguayan defender Sebastian Zaracho.

Born in 1999, Zaracho boasts an impressive physique, standing at 1.86 meters tall and weighing 85 kilograms, with a preference for his left foot. Although primarily a central defender, Zaracho is also capable of playing as a left-back.

Zaracho’s strengths lie in his aerial ability and robust one-on-one challenges, attributes that will significantly bolster Song Lam Nghe An’s defensive line. With eight goals as a central defender, Zaracho has shown his effectiveness in set-piece situations, adding an additional threat to the team’s attack.

Zaracho honed his skills at the prestigious Boca Juniors academy, which has produced numerous football talents for Argentina. As a result, the Paraguayan defender possesses excellent fundamental skills, strong game-reading abilities, and impressive speed.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Zaracho stated, “I am very happy to become a part of Song Lam Nghe An. Coming to Vietnam and wearing the Song Lam Nghe An jersey is a big challenge in my career. Let’s stand together and move forward.”

However, there is some concern regarding Zaracho’s lack of regular playing time last season. During his tenure with Guarani in the Paraguayan Primera División, Zaracho managed to make only four appearances, which raises questions about his match fitness.

Song Lam Nghe An is set to host Da Nang FC in their home opener of the 2024/2025 V-League season, where fans will be eager to see how Zaracho integrates into the team and contributes to their campaign.
