Binh Dinh FC welcomes a new foreign player with exceptional height

Binh Dinh FC has officially signed 2-meter-tall Colombian central defender Luis Salazar for the upcoming V-League 2024/2025 season. According to the latest transfer news, Salazar, who has an impressive career history across various leagues in Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina, will be a key addition to the Vietnamese club’s defensive line. Before making his move to the V-League, Salazar played for América FC in Brazil.

Salazar made a strong impression during a friendly tournament held at Hoa Xuan Stadium in Da Nang. His towering presence and solid defensive performances convinced Binh Dinh FC to secure his services for the new season. Salazar’s arrival is expected to significantly bolster Binh Dinh’s defense, which has seen the departure of several key players from last season, leaving behind a squad composed mostly of young talents and new faces.

So far, Binh Dinh FC has confirmed two foreign signings: Luis Salazar and Gabriel Morbeck. Head coach Bui Doan Quang Huy is still in the process of finalizing the squad and is expected to select the final foreign player following the conclusion of a friendly tournament at Thong Nhat Stadium.

Binh Dinh FC’s pre-season preparations will see them face off against Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL), a team recently returned from a training camp in Thailand. This anticipated match will take place this afternoon, August 24, and serves as an important test for both teams as they finalize their squads and strategies ahead of the V-League 2024/2025 season.

The inclusion of Luis Salazar in Binh Dinh’s lineup is seen as a strategic move to enhance the club’s defensive capabilities, providing experience and stability at the back. With his height and physical presence, Salazar is expected to be a key figure in neutralizing aerial threats and leading the defense, making Binh Dinh a formidable team in the league’s upcoming campaign.
