The Hanoi International Women’s Football Cup T&T Group 2024 will take place from October 3 to October 7, bringing together clubs from Vietnam and powerful opponents from the region and beyond.
In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with T&T Group, the Hanoi Football Federation, and other related entities, is organizing the T&T Cup International Women’s Football Hanoi 2024.
This tournament, beyond its sporting significance, serves as an opportunity to foster sports cooperation and cultural exchanges between capital cities. It aims to strengthen the friendships and mutual understanding among international women’s football clubs through competition and experience-sharing, enhancing players’ skills and promoting international sports cooperation.
The Hanoi International Women’s Football Cup T&T Group 2024 is also a chance to promote the image of Hanoi as a culturally rich, dynamic, and sports-loving destination. Through the matches and associated cultural and tourism activities, Hanoi seeks to assert itself as a thriving, modern city that preserves its unique cultural heritage, symbolizing openness, friendliness, and the hospitality of the local people. Miss Vietnam 2016, Do My Linh, will serve as the tournament’s ambassador, helping to positively promote the event.
The tournament will feature four teams: Beijing FC (China), Manila Digger FC (Philippines), Hanoi Women’s Football Club, and Thai Nguyen T&T Women’s Football Club.
The tournament kicks off on the afternoon of October 3, 2024, and concludes on October 7, 2024, at Hang Day Stadium. This stadium, a historical landmark, has witnessed many ups and downs of Hanoi’s history. After years of hosting only men’s football matches, Hang Day Stadium will now showcase an international women’s tournament, with free entry for fans to cheer and support the teams.
The event will highlight Hanoi’s connection to significant sporting and cultural moments, leaving a lasting impression on athletes, officials, and fans from around the world. It aims to promote international cooperation across various sectors, not limited to sports.
By partnering with Hanoi’s cultural and sporting events, T&T Group continues to demonstrate its vital role in the development of women’s football, professional sports, and sports culture in Vietnam.
