The Vietnam national team roster for October 2024 has been officially announced, with notable names such as Nguyen Van Quyet making a return and three players from Hoang Anh Gia Lai—Chau Ngoc Quang, Nguyen Quoc Viet, and Tran Trung Kien—earning a spot.
On October 2, head coach Kim Sang Sik released the list of players selected for the upcoming international friendly tournament scheduled for October 2024. The biggest headline is the return of Nguyen Van Quyet from Hanoi FC, after an extended absence. Van Quyet will join other prominent players such as Hung Dung, Van Truong, Thanh Chung, and Xuan Manh.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai, which currently tops the V-League standings, has three representatives in the national team—Chau Ngoc Quang, Nguyen Quoc Viet, and Tran Trung Kien. This inclusion is well-deserved as the three players have significantly contributed to Hoang Anh Gia Lai’s recent success. Hanoi Police FC (CAHN) boasts the largest number of players in the squad, with seven members from different positions.
In October, the Vietnam national team will face India on October 9 and Lebanon on October 15.
