Nguyen Hoang Duc and Dang Van Lam, two prominent stars of Vietnamese football, have set their sights on leading Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC back to the V-League in the 2024-2025 season. On October 14, Phu Dong Ninh Binh held their official kickoff ceremony for the new season. During the event, the club also introduced its new main sponsor, LPBank, which will support the club for the next five years (2024-2029).
With the backing of LPBank, Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC is expected to have a solid financial foundation, ensuring sustainable growth. This partnership will enable the club to enhance its squad, improve facilities, and provide players with a much-needed boost in morale as they aim for promotion to the V-League.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Van Phuc, Vice General Director of LPBank, emphasized the importance of their partnership: “By supporting Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC over the next five years, LPBank continues its commitment to the development of Vietnamese sports. This collaboration aligns with our corporate social responsibility goals, and it is our way of contributing to the sustainable development of our bank as well as the community.”
At the event, Mr. Tong Quang Thin, Standing Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh People’s Committee, acknowledged LPBank’s significant contributions to the local sports scene: “The success of Ninh Binh sports in recent years is a testament to the socialization model we have adopted, with great support from sponsors like LPBank. With the backing of provincial leadership, the sponsor, and the passionate fan base, Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC is set to achieve great things, including an early promotion to the V-League.”
Additionally, during the event, Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC and players Hoang Duc and Dang Van Lam collectively donated VND 3 billion to support the Prime Minister’s national campaign to eliminate temporary housing by 2025. This gesture not only reflects the club’s commitment to social responsibility but also resonates with LPBank’s call for meaningful contributions to society, fostering a spirit of solidarity within the community.
Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC has ambitious goals this season, with a well-organized and professional approach, coupled with a young, hungry squad eager to conquer new challenges. “We are determined to achieve the best results in the upcoming season and bring pride and joy to our supporters. I am confident that with unity and determination, Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC will achieve great success this season,” said head coach Nguyen Viet Thang.
During the event, the club unveiled its new kit and officially announced its roster, which includes a number of new signings. Notably, the addition of Vietnam’s Golden Ball winner, Hoang Duc, and Bronze Ball recipient, Dang Van Lam, significantly strengthens the squad. The club has also secured a number of experienced players who have previously represented the national team and U23 side, such as striker Dinh Thanh Binh, midfielder Do Van Thuan, defenders Thanh Thinh and Van Thanh, and striker Minh Binh. These seasoned players bring a wealth of V-League experience to the team, making Phu Dong Ninh Binh a formidable contender in the First Division, with the ultimate goal of returning to the top tier of Vietnamese football.
With strong financial backing, a well-rounded squad, and a clear roadmap for the future, Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC is poised to make a serious push for promotion and establish itself as a competitive force in Vietnamese football.
