Two prominent foreign midfielders in the V-League, Endrick (Malaysia) from Ho Chi Minh City FC and Odilzhon Abdurakhmanov (Kyrgyzstan) from Binh Duong FC, have been called up to their respective national teams for the November 2024 FIFA Days.
Endrick is set to represent Malaysia in friendly matches against Laos and India, as part of their preparation for the upcoming 2024 ASEAN Cup. Meanwhile, Abdurakhmanov will join the Kyrgyzstan squad for the third round of Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, where they will face challenging opponents, UAE and Iran.
Both Endrick and Abdurakhmanov have been key players for their national teams in recent years. They previously joined their squads in the September and October FIFA Days, where they delivered solid performances.
In contrast, Erik Sorga, the striker from Ho Chi Minh City FC, has not been called up to Estonia’s national team for their November Nations League matches. Sorga’s lackluster performance, with no goals scored in the V-League this season, has contributed to his exclusion following an underwhelming appearance in Estonia’s October Nations League games. The 25-year-old’s current form has raised concerns, making his national team return uncertain.
