Hanoi FC and Hai Phong fined for fan incidents ahead of V.League round 8

Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC have been penalized following fan misconduct during their V-League Round 7 match held at Hang Day Stadium on November 9, 2024. The Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) recently issued sanctions related to incidents in this round of play.

According to Decision No. 800/QĐ-LĐBĐVN, Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) was fined VND 2 million for accumulating five yellow cards during their match against Hanoi Police FC, which took place on November 9 at Pleiku Stadium.

In Decision No. 801/QĐ-LĐBĐVN, the match organizers at Hanoi FC were fined VND 15 million after fans lit flares inside Hang Day Stadium during their game against Hai Phong. The lighting of flares inside stadiums is prohibited due to safety concerns, and both clubs face consequences for their fans’ actions.

In addition to Hanoi FC, Hai Phong FC also received a VND 15 million fine for failing to control their fans, who set off flares during the same game at Hang Day Stadium.

Finally, Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) was fined VND 2 million after five of their players received yellow cards in their Round 7 match against Thanh Hoa on November 10, 2024, at Vinh Stadium.

These penalties serve as a reminder from the VFF of the league’s strict policies regarding fan behavior and on-field discipline. The fines aim to ensure that teams take responsibility for both their supporters and players, promoting a safe and orderly environment for the V-League.
